The Long Island Association for Central Service (LIACS) mission shall be to provide the members of the Association and healthcare facilities in the Long Island and the Greater New York City region with organized educational opportunities, professional development, a forum for information exchange, member services in response to identified needs and priorities, and to represent Central Service in the professional community.

Annual Learn Around
*** Cancelled in response to recommendations regarding large gatherings during the coronavirus outbreak ***
Place: Dolan Center for Learning. – Greenlawn, NY
Once again we are presenting one of our Saturday programs. We do this in a “Learn Around” style where we have 5 vendors arranged throughout the perimeter of the room. Each vendor will present a current topic to groups of 10-12 attendees. Each session is an hour and a quarter then attendees rotate around the room to the next vendor. There will be some “hands on” presentations also so you won’t just be sitting there “Lecture Style”. This is limited to no more then 60 atttendees so don’t be left out. Mark your calendars. Details and registrations forms will be available shortly. We should be offering 6 CEU’s for this seminar.

Annual Seminar and Vendor Exhibit
Place: Coral House – Baldwin, NY
We look forward to presenting our Annual Fall Seminar and Vendor Exhibit. Please join us for a day of learning and seeing old friends and also making new ones.
This year we are pleased to bring great speakers presenting the latest standards and recommended practices that are required for reprocessing surgical instruments and working in a Central Sterile Processing department. We should have 20 – 25 Vendors displaying the latest supplies and technology required to be compliant with today’s standard and recommended practices. So mark your calendars as seats are limited to 60. We should be offering 5-6 CEU’s for this seminar. Details to follow and should be mailed out towards the end of the summer. So keep your eye on your emails.

Tropicana Fall Seminar and Vendor Exhibit
Place: Tropicana Hotel and Casino, Atlantic City, NJ
We are in the process of setting this seminar and vendor exhibit up with our Mid-Atlantic counterparts. We pull out all the stops to provide 2 days of learning, networking, and making new friends. We are gathering some of the best speakers in our field to to keep you updated of the neverending changes to the standards and recommended practices. So, “ SAVE THE DATE” and check your email for more information to come during the summer months. We have “surprises” for our attendees this year.
